Minimalism and the Everyday

I have been reading posts on the art of minimalism and have some easy advice for the new minimalist.

Sheets- you only need two sets per bed. Really.

Towels- two per person in your household. Again really.

Blankets- two extra beyond what is on your winter beds. For company.

Dishes-two place settings beyond your family size. If you have a big party you can either borrow plates or use paper. Your call. As to having good china and everyday. Ditch the everyday and make everyday special with grandma’s china. I changed over ten years ago and love it!

Pots and pans- keep what you normally use and give the rest to your gourment cook friends. You can always borrow it in a pinch.

This should help those who are just starting out and not sure how much of everything we need in our homes to be functional and yet still have space to do things.
