Wilfred…and the meaning of Life.

The comic genius that is Jason Gann as Wilfred the sh*t talking, pot smoking, philosopher dog continues to boggle the mind.

Wilfred teaches us to see ourselves outside the box in fact so far outside that the box does not even exist.

Last night I introduced my son to Wilfred via the season 1 dvds from Netflix. He was hesitant and thought it would be dumb. Finally last night he agreed to watch a couple of episodes with me…he was boggle from the first five minutes. I went to bed after 3 episodes and he was up into the wee hours watching more and more of Wilfred and his forced intervention into Ryan’s (Elijah Wood) life. I don’t think Sonny will ever be the same after Wilfred.

The pure comic, laconic genius that is the character of Wilfred is unexpected and yet much needed in our overbooked, confused culture.
